I am a university-level English lecturer with over 15 years of experience teaching Academic English (EAP), IELTS, and General English as a second language and foreign language in higher education settings and privately. I have taught students ranging from ages 12 to 60, across diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, supporting them in developing the language skills needed for academic success and professional communication.

My lessons are structured, focused, and tailored to individual goals. For Academic English, I work closely with students on essay writing, research skills, critical reading, and argument development. I provide clear frameworks and detailed feedback, helping students understand not only what to improve but also how to improve it. For IELTS preparation, I focus on exam strategy, task response, and language accuracy to help students reach their target band scores. In General English lessons, I prioritise fluency, confidence, and practical communication in real-world contexts. I also provide homework and academic project help and guidance.

I use a step-by-step approach combining explanation, guided practice, and independent application. I also provide structured materials, targeted exercises, and follow-up tasks to reinforce learning between sessions. Where relevant, I adapt lessons based on ongoing performance to ensure steady progress and do not simply move on to the next topic until certain of the previous.

My teaching is results-oriented, with a clear focus on measurable progress and practical outcomes. Students can expect clear guidance, constructive feedback, and a supportive but academically focused learning environment.
