I am an enthusiastic and supportive Biology tutor offering tailored tuition for Highers, GCSE and A-Level students. Having achieved an A in Scottish Higher Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, I have a strong academic foundation in the sciences and a genuine appreciation for understanding how complex biological systems work.

I am confident teaching across the Higher, Edexcel, AQA and International GCSE (iGCSE) specifications, and can adapt lessons to suit each student's individual needs. My teaching approach focuses on making challenging topics easier to understand through clear explanations, structured lessons and plenty of exam-style practice. Biology requires more than simply memorising information, so I place particular emphasis on understanding underlying processes, applying knowledge to unfamiliar scenarios and developing the precise terminology needed to achieve marks in exams.

To make online lessons engaging and interactive, I use a shared digital whiteboard where both the student and I can write, draw diagrams, annotate biological processes and work through questions collaboratively in real time. This allows students to actively participate in lessons, test their understanding and develop their answers with guidance and feedback.

My approach is patient, encouraging and tailored to each student's learning style. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, tackling difficult topics and developing the confidence to work independently.
