My name is Samya!
I am looking to tutor Chemistry and Maths up to an A-Level standard.

In GCSEs, I achieved an A* in both Mathematics and Chemistry and subsequently 2 As in the subjects at A-Level; thus making me very familiar with the course content. I will soon be starting my Undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Kings College in September.

I feel that it's important to make sure the student is engaged with the content we are learning which is why my typical lesson involves a lot of active participation from the student. Lessons generally consist of a mix between content learning and active recall/ exam practice. I believe exam practice essential to success in these exams which is why I particularly focus on ensuring students can apply their knowledge in different ways so that they’re prepared for anything that may be thrown at them in their exams.

I have found that each student is completely different when it comes to their learning style, hence I am happy to adapt my teaching style to what best fits my tutee! As mentioned before, every student is different, hence I offer lessons of both 30 minutes or 1 hour as I understand that it can be difficult to focus, particularly online.
