Sam Sanders

With a degree in Music Practice (Performance – Drums) and over five years of teaching experience, I have developed a strong reputation as a passionate, experienced, and dedicated drum tutor. I have taught at the Academy of Contemporary Music, delivering lessons from college level up to Foundation Degree level (Education Level 2–4), as well as at the School of Rock and through 1-to-1 private tuition.

At the School of Rock, I teach beginners through to advanced players, guiding them through songs to perform in ensembles while developing their performance skills and confidence on stage. Through 1-to-1 tuition, I offer a flexible approach — teaching both freely and creatively, as well as providing structured lessons following Rockschool and/or Trinity grade syllabuses.

My teaching style is student-led, adapting to each individual’s goals and learning pace. Alongside teaching, I remain an active performer and session drummer, bringing real-world experience and industry insight into every lesson to inspire students and help them reach their full potential.
