Ryan Cripps

For more than twenty years, I have dedicated my career to helping young people realise their potential, overcome barriers, and develop the confidence and resilience needed to succeed both in education and in life. My journey has taken me from supporting students with special educational needs to leading departments, year groups, and safeguarding initiatives within some of London’s most diverse and challenging schools.

Throughout my career, I have been driven by a belief that every child deserves to feel valued, understood, and capable of success. Whether leading a Physical Education department, mentoring vulnerable students, or supporting those excluded from mainstream education, I have always placed relationships, compassion, and high expectations at the heart of my practice. I take pride in creating environments where students feel safe, supported, and inspired to achieve more than they thought possible.

My experience as a Head of Year, Head of Department, Designated Safeguarding Lead, and specialist tutor has given me a deep understanding of the academic, social, and emotional challenges young people face. I am particularly passionate about supporting students with complex needs and helping them rediscover a positive relationship with learning.

Teaching has never been just a profession for me; it is a vocation. Seeing young people grow in confidence, develop resilience, and go on to achieve their goals continues to be the greatest privilege and motivation of my career.
Above all, I remain committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of young people, believing that with the right support, encouragement, and opportunities, every student has the capacity to thrive and achieve far beyond their own expectations.
