My lessons usually revolve around a key question and involve an initial hook to elicit ideas from the student, short tasks to build knowledge and skills with a final plenary to check knowledge and understanding. However, they are bespoke lessons and can be more exploratory or tightly focused on the demands of examinations. When we study for examinations we use past papers, mark schemes, models and writing frames to support the scaffolding of impactful essays and responses that fulfill the demands of the mark scheme.
