My lessons are friendly, relaxed and focused, designed to help every student build confidence and make real progress in maths. I teach from primary school (KS1) up to GCSE with four years of in-person tutoring experience, both professionally and privately. On average, my students improve by 1–2 grades.

In our first lesson, I’ll find out what you’re confident with, what you find tricky and what you’re aiming for, then plan lessons around your needs. Each lesson usually starts with a quick warm-up to review what we covered last time, followed by a clear, step-by-step explanation of a new topic using visuals and real-life examples. I focus on understanding why methods work, not just memorising steps, so the maths sticks under exam pressure. We then practise questions that gradually build in difficulty, finishing with exam-style questions and a short recap.

Lessons are interactive: I ask plenty of questions, and I encourage students to ask theirs too, since mistakes are where the real learning happens. For younger students, I use games and hands-on activities to keep maths fun, while for GCSE students I focus on past papers, exam technique and time management. Whether you’re catching up, preparing for SATs or GCSEs, or aiming for a grade 9, I’ll tailor every lesson to help you get there.

I also track each student’s progress and share regular updates with parents, so everyone can see how things are improving. My goal is for every student to leave our lessons feeling more confident, capable and positive about maths.
