I have two years of tutoring experience, which includes levels ranging from KS1 to GCSE. I also have experience with students who have learning disabilities. A- level tutoring is available for chemistry and psychology.

GCSE Grades: (9 in maths, english literature, combined science 9/9)

I am not the type of tutor to become frustrated if you ever don't understand anything. Please feel free to let me know and additional help can always be provided. I am sure you will enjoy learning with me, and my goal is to turn the subject you are struggling with into one of your favourites- I have done it with previous students many times and I don't intend to stop.

Lessons:

- I like to start with an initial consultation, which can take place over an online call platform or within a chat box. The aim of this is to understand the students main weak areas, and problems with the subject at hand. Getting to understand the underlying issues behind attainment is the best way top create targeted lesson plans which have a high success rate.
- I start lessons by asking the student what they want to cover, and emphasise we should start with weakest topics. I use a mixture of verbal explanations, visual diagrams and exam practice to give them a well-rounded experience. If the student has preferences of how they like to learn, I ask for this during the consultation, but use my prior experience as well to develop a strong plan to raise grades. If students have any pending tests and would like additional support for that, I can increase lesson frequency. If the student wants general help, we can create a strong weekly or monthly plan
- Homework is set every week, based on what we have discussed during the lesson. Additional resources can be sent as well. Homework is marked and checked, with detailed feedback given. If I feel the student needs any more help, I increase the workload of the homework. If homework ever feels unmanageable the student should feel free to let me know and we can discuss an alternative plan. Homework usually consists of targeted exam practice.
