My lessons are friendly, structured and focused on helping students feel confident in their own ability. I study History at Oxford with a First, and I bring a strong academic background alongside practical tutoring experience. I have tutored before through family and friends, and I always aim to make sessions clear, supportive and tailored to each student’s needs.
I usually structure lessons around the student’s goals, whether that means covering content, improving essay technique, practising exam questions or working through revision plans. I like to break topics into manageable steps, explain ideas clearly, and make sure students understand not just what the answer is, but why it is correct. I also encourage active discussion, because I find that students learn best when they are engaged and comfortable asking questions.
For subjects like History, English and Politics, I can help with essay planning, argument development, source analysis and exam technique. For GCSE sciences, I focus on building strong foundations, mastering key concepts and applying knowledge effectively in exam settings. I also have a range of revision materials from my own studies that I can use to support lessons.
My aim is to create a relaxed but productive atmosphere where students feel challenged, supported and able to make real progress.
