Barnaby Carter

I am currently studying BA History and Economics at Jesus College Oxford, achieved 3 A* at A-levels History, Maths and Economics and at GCSE. I teach History, Maths and Economics up to A-Level and teach using past exam questions and whiteboards to help conceptual understanding and exam technique. I specialise in A-Level History essays and I offer to mark both essays and problems my students have written in class along with optional problems and essays I offer to set. I have tutored two students before, one for A-Level History (AQA) and one for A-Level Economics (Edexcel). I am especially patient with my students as I understand how frustrating the detail in these subjects can be having just done them myself! I tutor for any level (within the qualifications I offer) and focus on results in exams and building concrete understanding form the ground up, with a step by step and reassuring approach to my lessons. I take special care to judge the areas which my students could improve in and hone in on them, with practice questions and essays organised by each specific topic to help students understand where they are going wrong.
