My lessons are shaped around what each student needs. Some people want help understanding the content, so we break topics down simply and talk them through in a way that actually sticks. Others prefer focusing on essay skills, so we work on structure, analysis, and how to write answers examiners reward. Most students end up doing a mix of both, and I adapt as we go.
I keep sessions relaxed, supportive, and genuinely engaging: lots of discussion, quick checks to make sure things make sense, and guided practice so you feel confident rather than overwhelmed.
I’ve tutored GCSE students, taught debate to both primary and secondary pupils, and worked in roles where communication, patience, and clarity really matter. Through these experiences, I’ve learned how to explain things simply, adapt to different personalities, and help students build confidence even in topics they find challenging.
I’m organised, friendly, and good at breaking down tricky ideas. My aim is always the same: help you understand the past clearly, feel confident in your writing, and go into your exams knowing you’re ready.
