Oliver Watson

Hello,

My name is Oliver, I am 22 years old currently living in London and looking to tutor students in both French and Geography. I am enthusiastic, attentive and a strong communicator.

I have no prior tutoring experience however I am interested in helping people better understand both French and Geography. I have a 2:1 Geography degree from Loughborough University and I have grown up in France from the age of 2 and I am fluent. I also attained an A* in Spanish at A Level and obtained 1st class Spanish module results at University - I believe languages are a strength of mine.


With both of these subjects I believe it is really important to understand their importance and utility to give context to what is being taught. Especially with languages such as French, understanding the extensive linguistic rules and exceptions can be very difficult. Being able to understand the context will inevitably help students better understand and remember what they are learning.

I plan on structuring the lessons as such:

- start out assessing the level of the student and what they are finding difficult at the moment
- lay out guidelines to know what they want to achieve and create a roadmap as to how this can be achieved.
- interactive tutoring on the necessary topics with recurring evaluation to map progress


Really looking forward to helping students better understand and enjoy what they are learning in French and Geography.
