Nora Ahmed

I have strong academic background in Pharmacy and A-levels Chemistry and Biology, having achieved A’s in both chemistry and biology, as well as winning the MPharm First Prize Award at University.
I’m deeply passionate about Chemistry. I take pride in not only helping students improve academically but also enjoy the subject they once found difficult.
My passion for teaching began when I started to help family friends with their GCSE subjects. Seeing the improvement in their grades and confidence boost inspired me to support others in learning.
I aim to teach by breaking down complex topics into smaller understandable chunks and adapt my teaching style to suit each students need.
I will also use mind maps, provide students with flash cards, use practice questions, and discuss the students understanding. I will also encourage the student to ask questions.
I am patient, encouraging and committed to helping students become more confident in subjects they struggle with. I am organised and reliable in preparing lesson materials.
As a student mentor for Year 1 students at University, i have developed the ability to support learners of different abilities.
