I normally explain the subject matter that the student is having trouble understanding via a small presentation with a large number of diagrams, videos are also incorporated when the subject contians specific mechanisms. I encourage the students to ask questions throughout the presentation and test the students understanding at the end of the presentation, online interactive tools are used to aid understanding such as whiteboards. The presentations is constructed according to the exam board specification. This is followed up by past paper questions which are marked with the student according to the mark scheme, so they understand key words and phrases that they need to utilise to achieve a high mark. The lesson plan is highly malleable and can be altered according to the student's learning requirements.
Moreover, if the student is having difficulty remembering a specific topic or preparing for an exam, I explain common and effective revision techniques.
