I am an experienced teacher with 25 years in education, specialising in GCSE/ A-Level Biology, Applied Science, EPQ and University applications.

I have an excellent understanding of exam strategies, helping students develop effective techniques for answering questions and managing those nasty pitfalls! I particularly take pride in that my own students have said I build confidence which is vital for exam success.

The structure of each lesson is based on what your needs are, and I would do a diagnostic discussion first to see where we need to focus and then plan the next lessons. Most lessons include content teaching and completing relevant questions.

I have had many years of guiding students through exams and have a range of techniques that suits different learners. I have experience of supporting those students who have dyslexia as you will need specific support in your exam success.

I am also available for revision sessions in the holidays. In these sessions we will troubleshoot the areas that need support and do in depth revision on those topics. Exam strategies are also fine-tuned.

As a former Head of Sixth Form, I have extensive experience of guiding students through university applications and preparing for interviews. I have also been an EPQ teacher as well. I offer specialist support for Medicine and Veterinary Science guiding you through the complex admissions process.
