During my Maths lessons, I would go over the topic that the students struggle with. With this, I begin with going over the content of that topic and begin with basic questions of the topic. Throughout the lesson I would increase the intensity of the questions to exam questions using online resources which have personally helped me during my GCSES and A-level.

Of course I am willing to assist students if they struggle on questions and go through walkthroughs with them. I would also ask students to do exam question in their own time so that they’ll be able to strengthen the topics they struggle with.

The pace of my lessons can vary between fast pace to slow pace; adapting to the students learning ability. Once a topic is finished, I would go through walkthroughs of exam papers with them, while doing it with the students so they can understand my thought process which will assist them during their exam.

At the end of my lesson, usually 5 minutes before the lesson ends, I would review what we have went over with the students and plan ahead for the next lesson to come so that both me and my students are prepared to go over.

Once all the content had been covered, I believe it is essential for students to adopt exam techniques. Through this, going through past papers will assist students to not only increase their understanding of the content but also apply it in the exam.

I have used these techniques for students in GCSEs and A-level including myself which had allowed me to successfully teach and understand content.
