I am an experienced Science teacher specialising in KS3 and IGCSE Science, with a strong focus on building students’ confidence and helping them achieve academic success. My teaching approach is student-centred, engaging, and carefully adapted to individual learning needs, ensuring that every student can progress at their own pace.
In my lessons, I simplify complex scientific concepts into clear, easy-to-understand explanations. I regularly use visual aids, diagrams, animations, and real-life examples to make abstract ideas more relatable and memorable. I also encourage interactive discussions so students can actively participate in their learning rather than passively receive information.
A typical lesson is structured to support both understanding and exam success. It begins with concept explanation, followed by guided practice where students apply their knowledge step by step. We then move on to exam-style questions to develop critical thinking and exam technique. I provide regular feedback throughout the lesson to identify strengths and address misconceptions immediately.
In addition to content teaching, I place strong emphasis on exam strategies, including how to interpret questions, structure answers, and manage time effectively. I also support students with homework, revision planning, and targeted preparation for assessments and final exams.
My goal is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. Whether a student needs help with a specific topic, ongoing academic support, or intensive exam preparation, I adapt my teaching to meet their needs and help them reach their full potential.
