In my opinion, Audrey Poppy (known to us as Poppy) is a truly outstanding tutor. Our son started being tutored by Poppy at Easter in Year 11, after achieving lower GCSE mock grades than predicted ( despite being a very conscientious student). I was initially hesitant about engaging a tutor but felt it was important, given the A levels and career our son hopes to pursue. Having seen the quality of teaching he received, I only wish he had met Poppy much earlier. Despite the limited time available, our son made very rapid progress. Within just a few weeks, he was requesting additional lessons because he was gaining so much knowledge and understanding from this one-to-one tutoring. Poppy was always flexible and accommodating, despite being so popular as a tutor, and kindly offered online lessons when we were unable to attend in person. Her knowledge of both English Language and Literature is excellent, and she is incredibly encouraging, organised and dedicated. She knows how to build confidence while keeping lessons focused, structured and productive. She genuinely cares about her students and brings out the best in them.
