My name is Montse, and I am originally from Galicia, in the north of Spain. I’ve been living in the United Kingdom for over 15 years, and I’ve been teaching Spanish for more than 10 years.
Teaching Spanish is much more than a job for me — it’s my passion. I love not only helping my students learn the language, but also introducing them to the rich History, culture, traditions and cuisine that make Spanish-speaking countries so unique.
I have many years of experience teaching Spanish to students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners, and I really enjoy helping each student find their own way of learning the language.
There are many reasons for learning Spanish. You may be planning to move to Spain, have a particular interest in Spanish culture, or simply want to feel more confident speaking the language. Perhaps learning Spanish is something you’ve always wanted to do, but you’ve never had the time to commit to a traditional course. Or maybe you prefer the flexibility of learning at your own pace, with lessons that fit around your life. You might even want to learn with your partner, friends or family and create your own small group. I’m happy to organise lessons around that too. And if you’re looking for extra support for your child, I also have extensive experience preparing students for their GCSE and A-Level exams.
Whatever your reason for learning, my lessons are genuinely personalised to you. I take the time to understand your interests, needs and goals, and I’m happy to research and prepare material specifically around the aspects of Spanish that you want to explore — whether that’s the language itself, everyday life in Spain, Spanish culture, or something that is particularly relevant or interesting to you.
The aim is to make your Spanish lessons useful, enjoyable and, most importantly, suited to you.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to train with some of the best organisations in Spanish language education, such as the Instituto Cervantes, Editorial Edinumen, and Editorial Difusión — three of the most prestigious institutions in the field of teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Their expertise and methods have deeply influenced the way I teach today.
