Elena Parsons

Hola! Are you looking to boost your grades, build your confidence, or master your exam technique for GCSE or A-Level Spanish?

With over 15 years of experience in language education, I don't just teach Spanish—I know exactly how it is assessed. As a former secondary school teacher, an active exam marker, and an official content writer for BBC Bitesize, I have the insider knowledge to help you achieve your absolute best.

Whether you are struggling with complex A-Level grammar, need to practice your speaking, or want to understand exactly how to secure top marks in your GCSEs, I am here to guide you step-by-step.

I am an Active Examiner: I have worked as an examiner for both AQA and Edexcel since 2017, and I currently mark the brand-new specifications. I know exactly what the examiners are looking for, where students typically lose marks, and how to structure answers for maximum points.
I Write the Curriculum Materials: If you use BBC Bitesize or GCSE Pod for your Spanish revision, you are already reading my work! I have been creating and writing content for the new GCSE language specifications since 2021.
Extensive Teaching Experience: I spent 13 years working as a permanent Secondary School Teacher (KS3 to KS5), so I know how to break down difficult topics into easy, manageable lessons.
Versatile Exam Board Knowledge: I currently tutor over 15 hours a week, helping students across a wide range of boards, including AQA, Edexcel A-Level, Edexcel IGCSE, and Cambridge IGCSE.
A True Language Expert: Before entering the classroom, I worked as a lexicographer and translator for Oxford University Press, Larousse, and Santillana. I have a deep, professional understanding of how languages work, backed by a Degree in English Philology from the University of Alcalá.
