I am a dedicated educator with over 2,500 hours of teaching and educational support experience, working with children and young people across a range of subjects, abilities, and learning needs. Throughout my experience, I have delivered one-to-one and small-group sessions, helping students develop confidence, improve academic performance, and achieve their individual goals.
My key qualities as a tutor are patience, adaptability, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for education. I believe that every student learns differently, so I take time to understand each learner's strengths, challenges, and preferred learning style. This allows me to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating.
I am currently pursuing an MSc in Computational Cognitive Neuroscience, which has provided me with a strong understanding of learning, memory, attention, and cognitive development. I use this knowledge to incorporate evidence-based teaching methods into my lessons, including retrieval practice, spaced repetition, active learning, and regular feedback to support long-term understanding and retention.
My English lessons are tailored to each student's needs and may focus on reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, writing, speaking, pronunciation, or exam preparation. Lessons are structured, interactive, and goal-oriented, combining clear explanations with practical activities that encourage students to apply what they have learned. My aim is to help students build both competence and confidence while making learning enjoyable, engaging, and rewarding.
