I love the challenge of teaching languages and the rewarding process of helping others. For me, tutoring is about more than just academic results (whilst I recognize this is important) - it's about sharing my passion for languages to help students build the genuine confidence and independence to succeed.

I have 25 years experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages in Secondary Education (11-18 years) . I have been Head of Languages in three outstanding schools and have achieved excellent outcomes and am fully conversant with GCSE and A level specifications, and examination skills. I also work as an Assessment Associate marking exam papers so have a thorough understanding of the assessment criteria and what is needed to secure good exam grades.

I have successfully privately tutored students across a range of ages and abilities from KS3 to KS5, as well as adults. I prioritise a warm, empathetic environment where students feel comfortable and supported and where lessons are tailored to your needs, each lesson is meticulously planned. I ensure that language is recycled and strive to build in lots of opportunity for practice and consolidating previous learning using different contexts.
