Max Schacher

Hi, I'm Max, a native German speaker originally from Germany and now based in Glasgow, Scotland. I offer online German lessons for adults who want to feel more confident using the language in everyday situations or at work.

My approach is practical and relaxed. Rather than spending the whole lesson working through grammar exercises, I'd like us to speak as much German as you're comfortable with. We can practise real-life situations, such as introducing yourself, making plans, travelling, talking to colleagues or preparing for a job interview.

I'll help you with vocabulary, pronunciation and natural expressions, and explain mistakes in a clear and supportive way.

Before we start, I'd like to learn about your current level, interests and what you want to achieve. That way, we can adapt the lessons to your needs. If you're still building your confidence, we can use some English where needed and gradually introduce more German. If you're already comfortable with the basics, we can focus on longer conversations and sounding more natural.

My professional background is in recruitment, customer relations and business operations. I've worked with people across different industries for many years, so I can also help you practise workplace conversations, professional communication and business German.

Although I'm new to tutoring, I enjoy helping people and explaining things in a patient and approachable way. My aim is to create a friendly environment where you feel comfortable practising without worrying about making mistakes.
