??About me and the sessions:
I've just graduated from the London School of Economics (LSE), so it's possible I'll only be a few years older than you! That means I'm laid back, approachable, and quite casual during sessions (and really enjoy cracking a cheesy pun here and there), especially because the content focuses on your future; comfort is a priority.
Every student is different, so every session is different too. We'll start by talking about your goals and creating a plan together, so that the expectations are set from the get-go.
?????What I can help with:
- Researching programs of study that may interest you after high-school based on your interests, budget, and general goals. My goal is to find you your dream degree at your dream school.
- Helping you find, apply and secure internships/placements/extracurriculars that would boost your university/college applications.
- Helping you craft a strong CV and covering letter.
- Helping you find and craft strong academic scholarship applications.
(Note: I am best suited for law/humanities/social sciences-oriented students).
You might be wondering: ''Why wouldn't I just go to a university counsellor?''. That's a fair question, and while it may be the right choice for you, I think it's important to have the option of getting help from someone who's been through it all recently; all the ups and downs. That's what I'm here for.
?My experience (all achieved independently - no counsellors):
- Offers from: LSE, UCL, University of Edinburgh, University of Nottingham, Newcastle University.
- Applied to 5 universities, but 4 different degrees in one application cycle with a single personal statement! (Law, Anthropology and Law, European Social and Political Studies, and Law and Sociology).
- Scholarships from: University of Nottingham, Newcastle University.
- 10+ extracurricular activities before university, tailored to my interests and my degree.
- 5+ internships under my belt.
- 2 publications in a peer-reviewed journal.
Want someone who's been through it? Here I am ?????
