My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I focus on helping students understand what examiners are really looking for, while also building confidence in their reading, writing, and analytical skills.

I have experience supporting GCSE students with both English Language and English Literature. I help students break down exam questions, plan effective responses, and improve their written expression. Lessons often include working through exam-style questions, analysing key texts and extracts together, and practising how to structure answers clearly and efficiently.

I adapt my teaching style depending on the student. For some, this means revisiting the basics and building skills step by step. For others, it involves refining exam technique and pushing answers into higher mark bands. I aim to create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of learning.

My teaching approach is patient, organised, and exam-focused. I explain ideas clearly, check understanding regularly, and adjust lessons to ensure steady progress. My goal is to help students feel more confident, prepared, and in control of their English exams.
