Leticia Rey

My academic training and professional experience combine linguistic knowledge, pedagogical understanding, and artistic sensitivity. I have studied English and Spanish grammar and syntax, translation, foreign language teaching methodology, as well as linguistics, philosophy of language, and cultural studies, and my work has been focused on active participation, critical reflection and student motivation. I am an English Graduate, with a MA in Language Teaching and more than 7 years of experience teaching both English and Spanish, including intensive courses for people from the UK.
Throughout my professional career, I have had the opportunity to apply and expand the knowledge acquired during my studies, and to grow both in prestigious institutions and through my personal teaching project, in which I have been able to develop the creative dimension of my teaching practice, where culture, language and critical thinking are the cornerstones. This foundation has given me a deep understanding of how languages work, not only in their grammatical and syntactic dimension, but also in their historical and cultural sphere. I am convinced that language teaching cannot be separated from its sociocultural context. As a native Spanish speaker and a linguist, my goal is to share my linguistic and cultural knowledge with students in a meaningful way in order to support your learning :)
