My lessons are engaging and enjoyable, with most topics introduced through authentic, spontaneous conversation. Nonetheless, I firmly advocate the importance of a thorough grasp of grammar as a foundation for developing greater fluency and confidence in using the language intuitively. I always explain grammatical structures fully, rather than just giving glimpses that leave students confused.

I encourage students to take ownership of their learning journey, actively incorporating their interests, goals, and preferences into each lesson. Some are keen to explore literature, others wish to develop their business Spanish, while some are preparing for specific examinations. I customise my sessions to suit each student's individual requirements and needs.

I have successfully prepared students to undertake GCSE and A Level exams. I am accustomed to working with neurodivergent students and students with additional education needs. I can relate to these experiences personally and have a wealth of tips and tricks to support students in finding their most effective learning method.

My lessons generally incorporate clear grammatical explanations, engaging conversation, reading practice, translation, and targeted grammar exercises. Adult learners are free to decide whether they wish to complete homework, and I am happy to provide additional tasks and resources tailored to their preferences at no extra cost.

I actively encourage all my students to immerse themselves in authentic Spanish from the very outset. I am adept at supporting and motivating learners to overcome their perceived barriers and push their boundaries even further. This could involve reading newspaper articles, listening to podcasts, reading and translating poetry or watching films in Spanish.

My students are usually impressed with their own capacity to learn and keep coming back.
