I am an experienced writer and editor offering tutorials, workshops and constructive editing to help you improve your creative and academic writing skills.

I aim to collaborate with you to understand your needs and help you achieve your personal goals. Whether you want to hone your academic writing or polish up your creative works, I will tailor my approach to your needs. Rather than lecturing you about what 'good' writing should be, my first question will always be: 'what do you want to achieve with this piece?' This way I can adapt my techniques to your goals and help you elevate your writing skills while maintaining your own unique style.

My credentials:
- My published novels have been shortlisted for The Bookseller's YA Book Prize and the Waterstones Children's Book Prize, and twice-nominated for the Carnegie medal for writing.
- I have a Master's Degree with Distinction in Publishing, and a BA (hons) in English Literature with Creative Writing.
- I have 5+ years of experience copyediting for an academic journal, including extensive experience working with ESL authors.

I have experience working one-to-one with copyediting clients to identify areas for improvement and to provide long term writing and editing advice, and my combined academic and literary backgrounds make me uniquely suited to help you sharpen your writing skills whatever your goals. While I may be new to formal tutoring, I offer a no-commitment free first session so that you can be confident that I am the right fit for you.
