Hi,I'm Kim I have a level 5 TEFL Qualification.I've taught online and face to face with people of various nationalities and different levels of understanding of the English language. My lessons comprise of initially finding out what you would like to achieve,your goal, strengths and weaknesses and how we can address them working together as a team .Most lessons include all 4 of the very important skills of Reading,Writing,Listening and Speaking English with great detail involved in the planning of the lesson to include drilling, repetition,role play,fun warmers, and assessment.
Each lesson will include an introduction of the new language skill to be learnt,then approx 15 mins of guided practice where I clearly state and model what is required,20 mins (approx) of independent practice dependant on the alloted amount of time we have,where again I clearly state what is expected and what we want to esment is continuous throughout the lesson and I like to emphasize the importance of new learning.The lessons bought to an end with a short closing summary, approx 5-10 mins,where we go over what they have learnt and the importance/ benefits of the new skill they are learning,for example applying for a job, sending emails, asking for directions, joining a library,going shopping,directions.A small amount of homework will also be given . I then take time after the lesson for evaluation for future lesson planning,what went well,what didn't etc did they learn what they were supposed to learn ?
