I try to keep lessons engaging, fun and easy to understand. We will run through what you know, what you need help with, and how confident you are with the subject. We’ll get to know each other better so I can understand the best way for you to learn. We will run through questions, revision tips (for gcse level), fun activities and anything you want to suggest to ensure you feel like you’re getting the most out of our sessions. I have worked as a teaching assistant and previously for primary school and I have an A-level in English literature, alongside having studied law and ancient history. I have experience working with kids with ADHD, autism, and dyspraxia, and I make sure to accommodate to any special needs. Additionally, I always ensure proper breaks are taken when students need them, making sure they stay hydrated while learning, providing snacks when needed and making sure my students wellbeing comes first - it is incredibly important for focus when learning! I hope to create an environment where my student feels confident and comfortable to ask questions, to make suggestions and learn in the best way for them, ensuring they learn to the best of their ability and hopefully enjoy the subject by the end of our sessions. I am going to university in Portsmouth in September and I strongly believe that education should always be fun and the best way to retain information is for a student to enjoy the subject, even if it’s a little bit.
