I qualified as a teacher about 25 years ago and have facilitated learning on various subjects from key skills, health and safety, holistic wellbeing etc whilst working in various industries. I now wish to teach English to non-English speaking students in order to help them get by with day to day essentials.

My aim to to help my students master the basic English communication both orally and written in order to understand what is being communicated in English and also to be understood when they are communicating in English.

My method of teaching is face to face conference calls with 2 way conversation and various written exercises via email.

Pre-assessments are carried out via email correspondance on students written and verbal communication learning requirements.

Face to face conversation is arranged to assess current communication level in order to develop a learning plan specific to the student.

The learning plan is agreed with my student and will comprise bite size exercises which are easy to learn and recall.

Learning plan is set at the pace and ability of each student to maximise their learning potential and experience.

The exercises are developed by me which are varied, inspiring and relevant to the students backgrounds and interests.

There are written exercises sent via email and verbal voice recordings using whatsapp or other platform.

Regular feedback is given to each student and this is also a two way communication exercise backed up with written records.

All learning plans are reviewed and updated accordingly and includes any comments from my students on how they think the teaching and learning plan is progressing.
