Kilian Maier

Hi! I’m Kilian, a native German speaker with an MSc (Merit) in Translating & Interpreting from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. I offer friendly, structured and highly personalised 1-to-1 German lessons for learners from A1 to C2.

My goal is simple: help you speak German with confidence and actually enjoy the process. In our first session we’ll clarify your level, goals and preferred learning style. From there, each lesson follows a clear plan and includes:
• Speaking practice (guided conversation, role-plays, real-life scenarios)
• Targeted grammar explained clearly (no overwhelm, lots of examples)
• Vocabulary building based on your interests and needs
• Pronunciation & natural phrasing so you sound more fluent
• Corrections and feedback that are supportive and easy to apply
