My lessons will be a mixture of content based activities and active recall in order to improve memory and readily understand the topic. My main topics will be focused on GCSE content, and so would require the exam board and target grade for your child in order to plan my lessons effectively. I plan to turn weaknesses and minor errors into confidence and a building block for the student because what most students require is knowing they can overcome their errors and transform them into a checkpoint in their education. I have recently completed my GCSE's so I am able to resonate with your child's exam stress and pressure. One of my main messages would be practise makes perfect and little but often revision will always overshadow cramming. I will alter my sessions depending on how your child studies the best, and provide different revision recommendations also based off the easiest and most enjoyable study method preferred by your child. My session timings are usually 1 hour long, however I do offer 2 hour sessions on the weekend. On weekdays, I provide after school sessions, and weekends have more availability however I do not offer sessions on Sundays due to my busy schedule. I can provide online sessions on zoom whereby I will use online presentations and documents, or I can also teach in person utilising textbooks from my own revision to provide more individual and personal methods to improve your child's grade. I am a firm believer that everyone is capable and has the ability to achieve grade 9's and thrive despite not having the initial foundational confidence in their subjects.
