Hello! I am Harjot Singh, a specialist Maths and aptitude coach based in Birmingham.
I spent years as a University Lecturer, Bank Manager, Engineer & strategist who has personally cleared 12 elite competitive exams along with 10+ years of teaching experience. That's shaped how I teach, I know what it actually feels like to be sitting there with a clock running down, and I know which shortcuts are worth learning and which ones aren't.

For aptitude and selection tests, most of the work is speed and strategy. I don't teach slow textbook formulas. I teach mental arithmetic shortcuts, quantitative reasoning tactics and spatial logic methods that get you through the paper in the time you've actually got.

For school Maths it's usually a different problem. Students rarely struggle because they can't do Maths, there's normally a point somewhere earlier where the logic stopped making sense, and everything since has felt shaky. I find that point and rebuild from there, which is where the confidence comes back.

What I cover:
• School: 11+ Grammar, SATs, GCSE and A-Level Maths (AQA, Edexcel, OCR)
• Military entry: Royal Navy DAA, RAF CBAT, Army AOSB cognitive tests
• Professional and university: Civil Service Fast Stream, UCAT (Quantitative and Abstract Reasoning) and graduate scheme psychometrics including SHL, Talent Q and Cubiks.

Fee:
• Primary / 11+ / GCSE Maths: £20–£25 per hour
• A-Level / UCAT: £30–£35 per hour
• Military aptitude, Civil Service & Psychometric tests: £40–£50 per hour
