I have 1 year of experience tutoring all age groups in-person and online through an agency. I have managed classes of 10+ but I excel in teaching concepts individually as the learning is more personal and can be tailored to a students needs. I will be teaching online using Zoom or any other suitable alternative, my iPad will be connected to my computer and will be used as a whiteboard so I can express everything in writing. I will provide these class notes and my own personal notes (ones which helped me achieve 3 A*s at A-Level) to the student so they can grasp the content even better. I will try and source fresh material for the student to use and practice with while also providing some tried and tested exam questions and material. My lessons will consist of going through a concept/topic with a particular emphasis on input from the student to help complete the notes and then testing the student on increasingly challenging questions to confirm they have understood the topic. I will try to harbor a collaborative environment where it is less teacher and student but almost like a student helping another student. This will ensure the student being taught is comfortable enough to ask questions about the topic and ask for help when stuck. I will try to emulate the style of an Oxbridge tutorial where the onus is own the student to be proactive, ask questions, ask for extra material and in general be hard working.
