My sessions are friendly, structured and discussion-based, with a strong focus on making difficult philosophical ideas clear and engaging. I primarily support students taking AQA A-level Philosophy, and sessions can be tailored around particular topics, essay planning, argument analysis, practice questions or exam preparation.

I use clear explanations, worked examples and plenty of discussion so that students are actively thinking through the arguments rather than simply memorising content. Sessions typically last one hour, and I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, testing ideas and disagreeing.

Although I am new to formal tutoring, I am a final-year Philosophy undergraduate at the University of Reading, currently on track for a First, and I prepare carefully for every session. I genuinely love philosophy because it continually makes the world feel larger and more interesting, opening up new ways of understanding ourselves, other people and the questions that shape our lives. I want to share some of that enthusiasm with students so that philosophy becomes more than something to memorise for an exam. I hope they can genuinely enjoy the subject and experience some of the excitement I find in discovering new ideas, questions and ways of seeing the world.
