Issy Regis

Hi, I’m Issy, a Biochemistry student at the University of Edinburgh with A* and A grades in Biology and Chemistry at A Level. I have a strong passion for science and offer personalised tuition in Biology up to GCSE level.
Having recently completed my own exams, I understand the challenges students face and know what it takes to achieve top grades. My lessons focus on building and understanding of key concepts, improving exam technique and developing confidence. I break down difficult topics into clear, manageable steps and use practice questions and active recall to reinforce learning.
I tailor every lesson to the individual students, whether they need support with specific topics, revision planning, or exam preparation. My teaching style is friendly, patient and encouraging, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
Alongside my studies, I have experience in mentoring and sports coaching for younger students, which has strengthened my communication skills and taught me how to adapt my approach to different learning styles. I find it incredibly rewarding to help students grow in confidence and achieve their goals.
Lessons are suitable for students of all abilities up to GCSE level, whether they are looking to improve their grades, strengthen their understanding of science, or aim for the highest marks. I aim to help students succeed in exams and develop their curiosity and enjoyment of Biology.
