I am a second-year Chemistry undergraduate at Durham University, where I have continued to develop my understanding of chemistry across a wide range of topics. I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Chemistry and an A* in AQA A-level Chemistry. I also studied Mathematics and Psychology at A level, so I am happy to support students in these subjects too, particularly as mathematical skills are so important in Chemistry.
Having completed my GCSEs and A levels relatively recently, I understand both the current specifications and the challenges students face. I know how overwhelming Chemistry can sometimes seem, but I also know that with the right explanations and plenty of practice, it becomes much more manageable. It also means I know the exam techniques required to reach top grades, and what the assessors are looking for in an answer.
My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs. Whether you want to improve your understanding of difficult concepts, prepare for exams, work through past papers, or develop exam technique, I will adapt each session to focus on the areas that will make the biggest difference. I believe that identifying and addressing specific weaknesses is one of the most effective ways to improve both confidence and grades.
I aim to create a friendly, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to help students achieve the grades they are aiming for, but also to build their confidence and help them develop study techniques they can continue to use independently.
