Harry Acheson

Hi everyone, I’m Harry, and I am excited to support you as your online tutor. I specialise in history, politics, and essay writing, supported by my First Class BA in International Relations with Political Science. My professional background is somewhat unique: I am a Trainee Psychotherapist with over eight years of experience in management and operations. This means my tutoring style blends empathetic support with practical, structured problem-solving. I provide a secure, encouraging space where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and build your academic confidence without judgment. Beyond just explaining concepts, I will help you organise your overall approach to learning, breaking down complex subjects and overwhelming essay structures into clear, manageable steps. Because I am also trained in active listening, our sessions will be highly adaptable and tailored to how you learn best on any given day. Whether you need help mastering a specific topic, structuring a difficult assignment, or simply want a supportive guide to build your study skills, I am here to help you achieve your goals in an inclusive, welcoming environment. I look forward to working with you!
