In my experience the best way to teach is the way you learn best so if my teaching method of going through parts of the text or parts of a lesson you did not understand in your own lessons, does not work we will work on a method that suits you best. My personal teaching I will be making you use mind maps and flashcards so you will be able to learn outside of our lessons as well, there will be mock tests and practice essays to see if we need to work in your style and language but the best way is to tell me what you are struggling with, don’t be shy if I go over something and you don’t understand tell me because this is about helping you. Depending on what exams you are sitting, we will go through the mark scheme and identify what is keeping you from the next grade bracket. Most of the time it is just a lack of analytical thinking or structure. Everything in literature can have deeper meaning you just have to apply it and link it, which I can help you do. For example, Lady Macbeth, is she powerful? You will find examples of this in the text or examples that disproves it and I will help you identify the aspects that need analysis. You can do it, you just need someone that can set you on the right path and that can be you with my help as your tutor.
