Tom Talks

My lessons are structured, interactive, and fully tailored to each student’s individual needs and academic goals. I begin by identifying areas of strength and topics that require improvement so that lessons are targeted and effective from the outset.

Lessons focus on building a strong understanding of mathematical concepts while also developing problem-solving ability and exam technique. I use worked examples, guided practice, exam-style questions, and past papers to help students gain confidence and become familiar with assessment methods and mark schemes.

I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficult topics at their own pace. Explanations are broken down into clear, manageable steps to ensure students fully understand each concept before moving on.

With over five years of tutoring experience teaching GCSE, National 5, A Level, and Higher Mathematics, I have worked with students of varying abilities, from those looking to strengthen foundational skills to those aiming for top grades.

All lessons are delivered online via Microsoft Teams, allowing lessons to be flexible, accessible, and supported with shared resources and worked solutions.
