My lessons are friendly, relaxed and tailored to each student’s individual needs, learning style and goals. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as this is an important part of learning. Each session will be adapted depending on what the student is currently studying and where they feel they need the most support.
At the beginning of lessons, we can identify areas that need improvement before breaking challenging topics down into smaller, easier-to-understand sections. I will use clear explanations, worked examples, diagrams and questioning to help students develop a genuine understanding of Chemistry rather than simply memorising information.
We will then apply the knowledge through practice questions, particularly exam-style questions, so students become confident with applying what they have learned. I can also provide support with revision planning, homework, past papers and exam technique.
As an MChem Chemistry student, I have developed strong subject knowledge alongside practical laboratory and analytical experience. I also have two years of experience working with children, helping me communicate clearly and patiently with different ages and abilities.
My aim is to create supportive, engaging lessons that build both Chemistry knowledge and confidence, helping students feel more prepared for their exams and more positive about the subject overall.
I also encourage students to become more independent in their learning by developing revision strategies and study habits that work for them. Every student learns differently, so I will adapt my approach and pace accordingly. Whether they need help catching up, preparing for an upcoming exam, or simply building confidence, I am happy to support them.
