My lessons are interactive and relaxed, blending conversation practice, vocabulary, grammar and exam-focused exercises when necessary. I tailor every lesson to the student’s levels and goals, making sure that students feel comfortable and safe to ask questions and make mistakes. We might start the lesson with a speaking activity or a game for younger students, move into targeted learning such as grammar exercises, or vocabulary building), and finish with something lighter such as another game to reinforce what we have covered and make sure that the information has been memorised.
I also provide personalised resources, homework when needed, and clear feedback so students can progress.
For younger students, I find that turning vocabulary and grammar exercises into games works well and keeps them engaged. I use games such as scrabble and charades for older children, and pictionary for younger children.
I adapt my teaching style to every student, making sure they receive the help they need, whether that be exam practice or confidence boost in speaking. My aim is to create a supportive and fun space, where mistakes are welcome, progress feels natural and learning French becomes enjoyable rather than intimidating. Above all, I aim to make language learning a rewarding and positive experience. I am a patient, encouraging teacher, who is genuinely interested in every student’s progress.
