Whether you've never touched a camera before or you've been photographing for over 30 years, we can all improve our work. I'm here to sit down with you and teach you how to get the best out of your camera.

Lesson Format

I primarily use student-led lessons, working from a pre-existing knowledge base to help you understand how to take your photos a step further. Depending on your level and desired outcomes from the class, there are different ways to structure the lesson.

For complete beginners, I can teach camera setup, how to expose and frame images, and how to get tarted with printing or editing photos for uploads, and get your portfolio started.

For those looking to improve their current portfolio, we work together to critique your work and create a plan for improving. Whether you want to work on personal projects or business photography, I'll help identify what your photography does well, and where it falls flat.

For students, I will also work to help improve your written work and make it suit grading guidelines. I can read and review dissertations and essays, and ensure that the body of work consistently fits themes and guidelines necessary, whilst also helping to improve outcomes of your photos.

Experience

I have over 5 years experience teaching students to use their cameras, and tutored students in photography over my high school and college years. Since then, I have two years experience working in a camera store and consulting on the technology side of cameras, what students need from their technology, and how to use them. I'm extremely passionate about teaching, and I have experience tutoring throughout my education, as well as teaching TEFL after graduating.
