As an experienced British German teacher and qualified CELTA instructor with a BA in German and Music, I operate at a first-class equivalent level through extensive immersion. Since 2018, I have been self-employed, specialising in online German tuition for adults. I offer both formal lessons tailored to A1-C1 levels using Goethe Institute materials (or equivalent) and a bespoke, fun-packed, 10-lesson "fast-track" beginner’s course, "Mein Leben auf Deutsch." This signature course uses seven engaging PowerPoint presentations designed to get students speaking immediately, covering essential vocabulary (approx. 1000 words), basic grammar, daily routines, hobbies, and personal expression. My teaching approach is informed by over three years of living and working in Germany, plus ten years of experience as a German-speaking CSR, ensuring my teaching is deeply rooted in authentic culture. Currently working with a renowned language provider, I am looking to fill my schedule with motivated students who want to experience the language. I am passionate about making German accessible, practical, and enjoyable, guiding learners from absolute beginners to confident users. I tailor my teaching to the needs of the student, beginning by exploring your personal goals. We can take a relaxed, conversational approach, or use a structured course with rigorous grammar exercises. I am also a piano teacher, both face-to-face and online, and I enjoy working with diverse people, offering understanding to all cognitive styles and experience working with various developmental conditions. I hope to assist you in meeting all your German-language aims, while also deepening your awareness of German culture.
