I believe that biology should be understood, not memorized.
Many students are taught to learn isolated facts for an exam, only to forget them shortly afterwards. My approach is different. Before studying how a biological process works, we first explore the mechanisms that make it possible. Just as a watchmaker understands a mechanical watch by knowing how each individual component functions, I believe that biology becomes truly intuitive once we understand the "machinery" behind it.
Rather than relying on memory alone, my lessons help students gradually build a coherent mental map of the subject. Each new concept finds its place within an existing framework, making it easier to understand, remember, and apply to unfamiliar problems.
I teach general biology, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, and physiology to high school, university, and IMAT students. Every lesson is tailored to the student's current level and goals. We focus on developing genuine understanding through discussion, carefully chosen diagrams, and questions designed to strengthen reasoning rather than rote memorization.
My goal is not simply to help you pass your next exam, but to give you a way of thinking about biology that remains with you long afterwards. When the foundations are solid, even the most complex topics become logical, connected, and enjoyable to learn.
