I am a supportive, patient, and motivating tutor who focuses on building confidence as much as understanding the subject. I believe learning works best when students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes,I like to think I create an encouraging environment where progress feels achievable. My tutoring sessions follow a clear but flexible structure: starting with a brief review of previous work, identifying any gaps in understanding, and setting simple goals for the session. I break down new or challenging concepts into manageable steps, using clear explanations, examples, and guided practice. Sessions would finish with a short recap, reflection on progress, and small achievable tasks to reinforce learning. My approach is always personalised to each student’s learning style, helping them grow not only academically, but also in confidence, independence, and motivation.
Alongside my tutoring approach, my previous experience in both nannying and tutoring has helped shape the way I support students. Working closely with children in a home environment has taught me patience, adaptability, and the importance of building trust and strong relationships. Through tutoring, I’ve gained experience tailoring learning to individual needs, explaining concepts in different ways, and supporting students with varying confidence levels and abilities. These roles have helped me develop a calm, caring, and structured approach, allowing me to create a safe and positive learning environment where students feel supported, understood, and motivated to succeed.
