I like to support students by spending the time really understanding the details of a technical topic - the "how and the why" - which helps build confidence to answer challenging questions.
Drawing diagrams, connecting theories and memory techniques are all ways I like to promote in order to build a foundation of knowledge. From experience, exam questions and mini quizzes after learning or revising a topic are then the best way to cement that knowledge in an exam focused manner.
Revision timetables, practice questions and study time management for upcoming exams are also areas I have experience helping students with.
Needless to say, I am very flexible and can adapt to any learning style or needs required.
A bit about me: I am currently currently doing a PhD in London where I am studying bird flu viruses and how they might adapt and cause the next pandemic. I also hold an MSc in Epidemiology and BSc in Biology from Bristol. Since then I have worked as an infectious disease epidemiologist tackling public health and controlling the spread of dangerous viruses in humans and animals.
Please feel free to get in touch and discuss how I can help. Based in Central London and happy to travel or online.
