Hello! I’m Mohammed, a second-year medical student in London and a Biomedical Sciences graduate from St George’s, University of London. I achieved A*AA at A-level and grades 8 and 9 across all my GCSEs, and I’ve been tutoring Maths and Sciences for five years.
My lessons always start with you. In our first session, I’ll find out what you’re studying, which exam board you’re with, what you find difficult and what grade you’re aiming for. From there, I build a plan that targets your weaker areas while keeping your strengths sharp.
A typical lesson begins with a quick recap of the previous topic to check it has stuck. We then move on to new material, which I explain clearly and step by step with worked examples, before you try similar questions yourself. I’d much rather you understand why a method works than just memorise it, because real understanding is what holds up under exam pressure. We finish with exam-style questions, and I show you exactly how marks are awarded so you don’t lose easy marks through presentation or missed steps.
I keep lessons relaxed and interactive. You should always feel comfortable asking questions, however basic they may seem, because there are no silly questions in my lessons. I’m patient, encouraging and happy to explain things in different ways until they click.
Studying medicine means I’ve had to learn large amounts of complex information efficiently, so alongside the subject content I also teach practical revision skills such as active recall, spaced practice and planning your time before exams. These skills help students become more independent and confident learners.
Whether you’re catching up after falling behind, building confidence in a subject you’ve always found hard, or pushing for a grade 9, I’ll support you every step of the way. Parents will receive regular updates on progress and next steps.
I look forward to working with you!
