Hi there! I am a TEFL qualified tutor and student at the university of Exeter where I study French as my degree. I have spent the last 9 months of my life in Paris where I studied at the Sorbonne and worked at a tour guide agency living in a tiny flat in the centre which was incredible, I have then spent the summer in the city of London at Bloomberg doing an internship with the French Speaking team and interacting with clients across the globe as a representative of the sales department. I love to be able to communicate with people in their native language and have also previously studied Spanish and Italian as well.
At the end of the day, language is about communication a first and immersion into the culture second. By being able to speak a language, especially one as widely spread as French, you open the door to incredible opportunities to interact with people and that is why I continue to learn and hone my skills.
For me, tutoring is about igniting that passion for learning a language that allows the student to self-motivate and be keen to learn a language, then actually remembering the words and the grammar follow much easier. My lessons are very interactive, we talk through the answers, using different means to remember things based on the students learning methods, and practice those difficult areas which they may need more help with. Whether its visual, auditory, kinesthetic or reading/writing, we will go through the course content in no time!
